“Kick Alley was invented when I saw a close friend, who was recuperating at my home from ACL knee surgery, play a game from his childhood using a real soccer ball, a dining room chair and my hallway.”
“I thought, ‘Wouldn’t it be cool IF you could play that game from your chair or bed using a cellphone with a screen?’ At that moment, I envisioned a mobile game that could help people recuperating from injuries and surgeries to the knee or leg. I imagined kicking a digital soccer ball ON the screen of my own mobile phone! I immediately felt passionate that “Kick Alley” could become a great “interactive/physical” mobile game, a game played on your phone that gives you many immediate health benefits.”
‘During development of our first Prototype version, my own son was the test user following his own ACL knee surgery. By playing Kick Alley several times each day, as an approved experimental add-on to his ‘homework’ physiotherapy, he had an above average recuperation. His Orthopaedic surgeon and his Physiotherapist ‘ heartily supported Kick Alley as a ‘fun, extra-physio exercise’. They encouraged me to continue developing my ‘great idea’. And so we did.”
